Members of our Exeter Landscape team enjoyed a CPD trip recently, reviewing recently built residential developments in Cornwall. Working on a number of projects in Cornwall, FPCR were interested to visit other developments to see how successful their schemes have been.
In particular, the team were looking at how street hierarchy is identified, the success of on plot planting, the usage of hard landscape materials and the schemes’ areas of open space. Being within Cornwall, there was also further interest in how the Cornish vernacular and landscape character has been reflected in the design proposals.
Throughout the trip, FPCR visited Nansledan and Tregunnel Hill in Newquay, as well as Greenvalley Road in Bodmin.
