Virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats run

FPCR running challenge

Challenge completed! Since March the keen runners of FPCR have been training and keeping in touch through a virtual running club, taking on a number of challenges along the way. The running was real, the route was virtual – a relay run, with each member logging miles. In September they took on their biggest challenge yet, the famous Land’s End to John O’Groats route. Each runner logged how many miles they had completed and these were mapped to see how long it would take to travel the 837 miles needed to cross the length of Britain.

The challenge proved popular and the new members it attracted to the club helped to complete the lengthy route in just seven weeks, arriving in the Scottish coastal town on the 12th November.

The challenge is just one of many FPCR’s Virtual Running Club have been undertaking during the lockdown period with the latest challenge, a festive themed route across Scandinavia, already underway.
