Success at appeal for 150 dwellings in Chesterfield

Brimington, Chesterfield

An appeal for up to 150 dwellings in Brimington, Chesterfield, has been allowed.

FPCR provided evidence on Landscape and Visual matters. One of the principal matters related to whether or not the site was considered to be within the Strategic Gap.  Our evidence showed that development of the appeal site would still maintain a gap between settlements, and the purposes of the Strategic Gap would not be offended by the appeal scheme.

The Inspector agreed with our conclusion that there would be no unacceptable effects on landscape character or the appearance of the area resulting from the development.

Planning evidence was provided by DLP. The full appeal decision can be viewed here.
