On Tuesday 11th June and Tuesday 18th June, two groups from our Architecture and Landscape Architecture teams here at FPCR visited Manchester to see some of their outstanding design projects, both implemented and ongoing.
Our first stop was the enthralling Media City followed by the fantastic New Islington development where we had a tour of one of the exceptional Urban Splash homes, complete with VR Headsets!
Urban Splash won the bid to transform Manchester’s notorious Cardroom Estate into a brand-new urban neighbourhood back in 2000 making it into one of Manchester’s trendiest communities, filled with homes, workspaces, community amenities, green space, canals and even its very own marina.
During the afternoon we also visited some of Manchester’s other exciting developments; Ancoats, Angel’s Yard and Saddler’s Yard.
CPD is a hugely important part of maintaining our professional membership and it was a great opportunity to see both established schemes and projects in progress.
