Green light for mixed burial ground

We love the variety of schemes we get to be involved in – this being a case in point. FPCR provided both Landscape and Ecological support to successfully gain planning permission for a mixed traditional, natural and woodland burial ground at Ramsdale Hill, between Arnold and Calverton. The scheme will provide a range of burial typologies set within a picturesque and diverse landscape setting, with long-distance views to the surrounding landscape due to the elevated location. The proposed scheme includes a facilities building, car parking and access arrangements from George’s Lane, and was declared as appropriate development within the Green Belt. The Planning Committee for Gedling Borough Council stated that the proposals would not interfere with the sense openness, or cause undue harm to visual amenity, landscape character, residential amenity, highway safety, heritage assets, ecological considerations or ground water.
