Detailed Landscape Design for IKEA Greenwich

IKEA Sketch

Appointed by IKEA, FPCR have provided detailed landscape and public realm designs for the new IKEA retail store at Greenwich, London.

FPCR’s reserved matters application focusses on a new roof garden and pavilion. The design includes a new ‘green’ and ‘brown’ roof to enhance biodiversity value, together with a flexible outdoor roof space incorporating new planting, seating, lighting, a vegetable and herb garden and ‘viewing galley’ towards the city. The perimeter ground level landscape of the IKEA store includes a new sensory wildlife garden, orchard trees, ‘green roof’ cycle shelters and high quality new paving interspersed with specimen trees. Landscape, ecology and arboriculture services have been provided by FPCR.
