Inspector Parker has allowed the appeal for up to 100 dwellings at Mildenhall Road Fordham, for Gladman Developments. FPCR provided evidence at the appeal, on landscape and visual impact, and urban design. For this scheme, residential density and the visual effects of an acoustic barrier were particular issues. Inspector Parker concurred with the views expressed by FPCR, and concluded no conflict with local plan policies on density, and that the proposed acoustic barrier would not be materially harmful and could be accommodated within the proposed open space.
