Following a hearing in January, Gladman received notice that the appeal for 74 new homes on the edge of Rainham, Swale has been allowed. FPCR provided masterplanning, landscape, ecology and arb advice and presented evidence at the hearing.
The hearing grappled with issues of landscape in relation to development in the countryside, the sites role as part of an Important Local Countryside Gap, housing land supply, as well as accessibility to services and facilities.
The scheme looks to provide a number of benefits including provision of affordable and market homes, a biodiversity net gain, allotment and public open space provision, in addition to funding towards an electric car club for local residents and wider economic benefits.
