Larwood Park will be a newly created sports ground forming the gateway to a proposed residential development on the edge of Kirby In Ashfield. FPCR were employed by Westerman Homes to design a pavilion to be constructed and occupied by Ashfield Rugby Club as part of a S106 for the adjacent housing application. The proposed two storey pavilion provides a contemporary landmark building located near the entrance to the housing site. The building separates the dedicated car parking from the sports field which can accommodate two rugby pitches and a cricket pitch.

The first floor social spaces and large external balcony provide panoramic views over the playing area. A double height entrance foyer with feature staircase gives access to the first floor social space which can be divided in to up to three separate function rooms, served by a bar and kitchen. A teaching room and spectator toilets are also located on this floor. Changing rooms and ancillary spaces occupy the ground floor with separate external access to the pitches. The building has been designed to comply with Sport England and RFU design guidance. A limited palette of external materials have been chosen to provide a robust finish with a modern appearance.
