A residential scheme at Dover Road, Deal, has recently been approved at Planning Committee, with the final casting vote from the Chairman after the voting was tied. The Outline application was for a sustainable residential development of up to 100 new homes with open space and new pedestrian routes. FPCR provided masterplanning services, developing a framework plan for the proposed development with the Landscape team also producing an accompanying Landscape and Visual Appraisal and Design and Access Statement. Further services were provided by FPCR’s ecology team who carried out a Phase 1 survey of the site, and Arboricultural team who carried out an Arboricultural Assessment of the existing trees and hedgerows within the site.
The development proposals include 1.2 hectares of Green Infrastructure with formal and informal open spaces, connecting footpaths and an attenuation area and provides an opportunity to increase tree cover in the local area.
