The new Ashbourne Pavilion is progressing well after starting on site in January this year. Designed by our Architecture team, the project achieved planning approval in 2019. Thanks to some tireless work by the client – Ashbourne Recreation Ground Sports and Community Partnership – key funders are now in place. It’s been an exciting couple of months seeing this project finally ‘get off the ground’!

We have been working closely with the client and Derbyshire Dales District Council to help overcome the various hurdles in getting this project moving. This involved liaising with sporting bodies such as the Football Foundation and the England and Wales Cricket Board to ensure the proposals met their design guidance. In addition, creative solutions were sought to help the project meet the budget while maintaining the original design intent.

Partly funded by Section 106 contributions and being built by Enrok Construction Ltd, the new pavilion will provide a much improved sports and community facility for the well used recreation ground. Watch this space for more updates over the coming months!
