Grantham Designer Retail Village

Grantham

An application has been submitted to South Kesteven District Council for a new Designer Retail Village.

The £100 million scheme comprises some 35,000m2 of retail space with 130 designer shops offering upmarket quality brands. The retail village also includes proposals for a new hotel, restaurants and cafes. The scheme would provide in the order of 1,500 new jobs and is expected to generate some £3.5 million visitors per year to the Grantham area.

FPCR were appointed by the applicant (Rioja Developments) and the landowners (Buckminster) to coordinate the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). As well as being project managers for the EIA, FPCR have provided landscape, ecology and arboricultural services, which has included the production of a Landscape & Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), an Ecological Assessment with surveys for protected species, and an Arboricultural Assessment.
