After a huge team effort to get to this point, we are thrilled that work has started on constructing the town centre at Cranbrook in East Devon, marked by a breaking ground ceremony (pictured).

The new town centre will comprise of a Morrisons supermarket, children’s day nursery, ribbon retail, residential apartments and a new market square.

Henry Davidson Developments Ltd (HDDL) are the company behind this project and have partnered with local building contractor Acheson Construction Ltd who are delivering the construction works.

We have been involved in the development of Cranbrook New Town from the outset, providing landscape, urban design and arboricultural services. In this latest scheme we undertook the landscape design and public realm design, working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, including David Lock Associates, Mono Project Management, SGP Architects, and Brookbanks. The scheme is set around a new town square, comprising high quality public realm for markets, events and outdoor café space.

The supermarket and nursery form the first phase of the scheme, due to be completed by summer 2023.
