Wildflower Specification CPD

Some of our Landscape Architects visited Naturescape, a local wildflower farm based in Langar, Nottingham. As a practice we regularly specify a variety of wildflower/grassland mixes as part of our commitment to delivering biodiversity gains on numerous development sites.

It was an opportunity to see first-hand how wildflower mixes are grown, produced and prepared ready for dispatch and sowing across the UK. Naturescape’s Director Tom also explained how they can create and produce bespoke wildflower mixes, which is of particular interest to FPCR who are often involved in sites, for example, within AONB’s where specific species and mixes are required.

Whilst we are currently remote working, it was also a great opportunity for our team to meet up with other colleagues and enjoy the hot weather!
