FPCR is delighted to have supported Hallam Land in securing planning permission on appeal for 130 homes in Blandford, Dorset.
This successful outcome represents the culmination of a long-term promotion agreement first entered into in 2018, with outline planning consent granted in May 2025 following appeal. The scheme will deliver much-needed housing, including 30% affordable homes, a new local play area, and an extension to the Dorset Trailway – providing an enhanced walking and cycling route for the community.
Our cross-disciplinary expertise played an important role in helping to shape and support the application. FPCR’s Landscape, Arboriculture and Ecology teams worked collaboratively to ensure that key environmental and design considerations were carefully addressed throughout the process. In particular, the scheme’s Biodiversity Net Gain calculation forecasts a 10% net gain for surrounding habitats, aligning with both local and national aspirations for sustainable development.
We are proud to have contributed to this positive planning outcome and look forward to seeing the scheme progress into delivery, providing new homes and community benefits for Blandford and the wider Dorset area.
