FPCR have provided masterplanning, ecology, and arboricultural services for a sustainable urban extension at Fairham Pastures, Clifton to support the outline application for the development.
The site is located on the southern edge of Nottingham adjacent to the re-routed A453 and comprises residential development of 3000 dwellings, employment, schools, community buildings, extensive footpaths and cycleways, a park and ride extension and a comprehensive green infrastructure strategy which includes a new community park.
The masterplan is landscape led, with new sports pitches, green corridors, swales, woodland planting, a destination play area, allotments and new attenuation areas and habitat creation. FPCR provided the Design and Access Statement, the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment as part of the Environmental Statement for the site, consultation documents and images and a series of Design Codes for the proposals.
