FPCR provided landscape and visual assessment, arboricultural and ecology services for this large commercial site located within the green belt at the edge of Haydock, St. Helens for the erection of two warehouses (totalling 135,000sqm), with associated access and infrastructure, granted approval at the start of  2017.

A sensitive and considered landscape scheme was required to minimise the visual effects of the structures within the local area, and protect and enhance the key ecological features on site, creating a strong landscape buffer habitat around the site and an ecological mitigation area, which will be publically accessible, providing a new community resource at the site. Our services included the Landscape & Visual Impact Assessments and a full range of Ecological Assessments (including mitigation for bats roosting in trees), to support the Environmental Statement, a landscape and ecological management plan and  public engagement and liaison with the LPA.
