About us

Craig is an Associate Director in FPCR’s Ecology team with 17 years of experience in ecological consultancy. He joined FPCR as a seasonal surveyor in 2009 and has since developed extensive expertise in protected species ecology, particularly bats, great crested newts, badgers and reptiles.

Holding a BSc in Biology, Craig specialises in the delivery of ecological surveys, mitigation strategies and licensing for development projects of all scales, from small residential schemes through to large Sustainable Urban Extensions (SUEs). He is a licensed bat and great crested newt specialist, holding Natural England licences for both species, as well as a low-impact badger licence and Bat Mitigation Class Licence (BMCL).

Craig’s role includes project management, preparing fee proposals, mentoring junior ecologists and undertaking ecological fieldwork. He also leads the preparation of European Protected Species licence applications and mitigation documentation, helping clients navigate ecological constraints while supporting successful project delivery.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), Craig works with a wide range of development clients, providing practical ecological advice and technical expertise throughout the planning and development process.
