Sparken Hill Gardens, Worksop

FPCR carried out a BS5837:2012 tree survey and report for the proposed Sparken Hill Gardens development, assessing tree quality and development constraints in support of a planning application.

The report for this assessment included a detailed Arboricultural Impact Assessment to identify which trees should be retained and provide recommendations on how best to integrate them into the proposed new residential development of three, four and five bedroom homes.

Following approval of the planning application, FPCR were later commissioned to produce an Arboricultural Method Statement (AMS) to satisfy planning conditions. FPCR have considerable expertise in the preparation of arboricultural method statements providing practical advice on tree protection solutions to satisfactorily discharge conditions. The AMS detailed a working methodology of how the retained trees on site will be safeguarded during the sites construction.

Upon completion of the development late 2017, FPCR were retained by David Wilson Homes to produce an Arboricultural Management Plan for the retained trees on site situated within areas of new public open space. This included a hazard assessment and work recommendations of the trees which was required in order to hand over the management of these areas back to the local authority.
