Scotts Wood Park, Bushey

Hertsmere Borough Council’s Planning Committee resolved to grant outline planning permission for proposals for 350 new homes, including 245 affordable homes (70%), at Scotts Wood Park in Bushey, the former Bushey Hall Golf course. FPCR provided Landscape, Green Belt, ecology and arboriculture advice to Griggs Homes.

The proposals also include a new community centre and wellbeing hub, together with a state-of-the-art medical centre.

The scheme also responds to the identified shortage of public green space in North Bushey by opening up 72% of this currently private land as publicly accessible open space. At 61 acres, it will create Bushey’s largest community park, a lasting asset for local people.
