FPCR develop RIBA 1-6 proposals for the external works associate with this £8.9m expansion of Leeds City Academy.
FPCR developed the landscape proposals through RIBA Stages 1–6 for the external works associated with the £8.9 million expansion of Leeds City Academy.
The practice was initially appointed by White Rose Academies Trust to deliver the landscape design through RIBA Stages 1-3. Following novation to Morgan Sindall, FPCR was retained to complete the project through RIBA Stages 4-6.
The expansion comprised 11 new classrooms across two storeys, a state-of-the-art science studio and laboratories, a fully equipped music room and practice spaces, breakout learning areas, and additional canteen facilities.
The landscape design included new sports pitches, three hard-surfaced netball courts, pedestrian routes and additional parking, creating improved external facilities to support the expanded campus.
The project was awarded Best Collaboration Project Between Frameworks at the Pagabo Awards 2025.
