FPCR provided integrated architecture, masterplanning and landscape services on behalf of Persimmon Homes South East for a hybrid planning application for up to 800 new homes at Hersden, Kent.
The proposals comprised a detailed application for 261 homes alongside outline proposals for the wider development, including a local centre, employment space, an extension to the primary school and an extensive network of green infrastructure.
Our Landscape Architecture team developed the landscape strategy and detailed planting proposals for homes and public open spaces, alongside preparing the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) chapter of the Environmental Statement.
FPCR Architecture developed the detailed layout, streetscenes, housetype pack, sketch visuals and Design and Access Statement. The team also supported the project through the planning process, presenting proposals at Design Review Panel and pre-application meetings and engaging with the local community through public consultation events.
Planning permission was successfully secured in 2025.
