FPCR was appointed to design the central courtyard and ground-floor frontage for this student accommodation project, providing landscape architecture services through RIBA Stages 3–5.
Campbell House, Bristol, comprises three student accommodation blocks arranged around a central landscaped courtyard, providing 431 student bedrooms and a range of high-quality communal amenities.
FPCR was appointed to design the central courtyard and ground-floor frontage, providing landscape architecture services through RIBA Stages 3–5. The completed Phase 1 development includes communal facilities such as a cinema room, study areas, gymnasium and karaoke room, all set within a high-quality landscaped environment.
Phase 2, due to commence shortly, will convert the former Bristol Royal Infirmary building into Build-to-Rent apartments while incorporating the listed chapel into the development. A podium deck will connect the buildings, featuring bespoke multi-level planters integrated into the design. Reflecting pools in front of the chapel will enhance views of its impressive façade, while a glass-sided elevated walkway will provide a pedestrian link between the podium and the chapel building.
