Biddenden, Kent

An outline application was allowed at appeal for up to 50 dwellings in Biddenden for Gladman Developments Ltd.

Design was particularly important to the scheme, with studies of local farmsteads used to inform the layout, varying road widths that reduced the dominance of cars, courtyard clusters surrounded by lots of landscape, community allotments and orchards. Our Architecture and Masterplanning team worked closely our in-house arboricultural team on the design to enable toe several veteran and other trees of high quality to be fully integrated into the layout, seeing their future management safeguarded.
