FPCR at the Landscape Institute Awards

FPCR were very pleased to be finalists at this year’s Landscape Institute Awards with the Landscape Character Assessment of Charnwood Forest which was a finalist in the Landscape Planning and Assessment category.

Gary Holliday, Claire Heeks and Lucy Foster attended the event, with Julie Attard from the National Forest, held at the Troxy, London.  As the 90th Anniversary awards, the event was very grand and the team were in good company as Sir David Attenborough was also in attendance to receive the Landscape Institute Medal for Lifetime Achievement and to become an honorary Fellow of the Landscape Institute.  Sir David’s inspirational speech emphasised the importance of the work that landscape architects and others in the profession do to combat climate change and promote a sense of ownership and appreciation of the natural world.
