Consent secured for 470 homes at Ratby, Leicestershire
FPCR supported Lagan Homes in securing planning consent for a 470-home development in Ratby, delivering a landscape-led masterplan, multi-functional green space, and full ecological assessments.
Lagan Homes have secured a resolution to grant planning consent for a new development on the western edge of Ratby. The planning consent will deliver 470 new homes, a 1FE primary school, and some 17ha of green infrastructure.
FPCR delivered a full range of services for the project to assist with the site’s promotion and the subsequent outline planning application, including a landscape led masterplan which was guided by retaining established hedgerows, trees and woodland and delivering substantial areas of multi-functional green space and new woodland, as part of its National Forest location.
The practice provided the following material for the application: Design & Access Statement, Masterplans and 3D Visualisations, Sketches for Community Engagement, Open Space Strategies, Landscape & Visual Appraisal, Protected species surveys and Ecological Impact Assessment, BNG Reporting, and an Arboricultural Assessment.
