Stephen joined FPCR in 1989, three years after graduating in Accounting & Finance at Nottingham Trent University, when the practice comprised less than twenty staff. He swiftly introduced improved regular cashflow and financial management reporting. For a decade managing financial matters as the FPCR’s sole accounting member of staff, he has since overseen the development of the accounts function through the practice’s rapid expansion of the last fifteen years, seeing his Accounts team grow to five members.
He has implemented new software and designed systems to enable efficient management of financial and project accounting procedures which now cover 150 staff at three offices in peak survey periods. He has also managed FPCR’s approach to new government initiatives such as Real Time Information (RTI) and pensions Auto-Enrolment.
