We work closely with private clients and the public sector, providing a range of skills to design high quality sports and leisure facilities. Our practice has delivered many successful schemes, developing designs from feasibility, through concept design stage, to detailed design and implementation.
FPCR were the lead design consultants and masterplanners for the £11 million lottery funded multi Sports Arena at the University of Central Lancashire. The scheme comprises high quality indoor and outdoor sports facilities including an athletics arena, road cycling and exercise circuits, extensive natural turf and all weather pitches, a covered training area and a revolutionary football pitch system of Premiership standard.
At Larwood Park in Nottinghamshire, FPCR were employed by to design sports pitches and a two storey, contemporary pavilion to be constructed and occupied by Ashfield Rugby Club as part of a S106 for the adjacent housing application. The proposed two storey pavilion provides a contemporary landmark building located near the entrance to the housing site. The building separates the dedicated car parking from the sports field which can accommodate two rugby pitches and a cricket pitch.
