North Totton, Hampshire

FPCR provided the landscape and ecological advice for the 375-home extension to Bloor Homes’ Forest View site in Totton in the New Forest. This followed from our involvement with the initial phase of development which is now under construction.

The scheme, which is close to the New Forest National Park, continues the landscape-led approach that shaped the first phase of development, will deliver approximately 35% affordable housing in a mixture of social rent and shared ownership. Over 50% of the site will be retained as green space, comprising an extensive network of public open space, structural landscape, wildlife habitats, and play facilities, alongside new cycle and footpath connections integrating the scheme with the initial phase and providing links into the wider Totton area.

The scheme which is located on an unallocated site, recently received a resolution to grant outline planning permission.
