Planning consent secured: 115 homes, Whetstone

Planning permission has been granted for a new residential development of 115 homes on land off Springwell Lane, Whetstone, following approval by Blaby District Council’s Planning Committee.

FPCR provided landscape, ecology and arboricultural services throughout the project, supporting Miller Homes from the early masterplanning stages through to the successful planning application.

Our multidisciplinary team was involved from the outset, preparing an initial capacity masterplan before producing a comprehensive suite of planning documents, including a Landscape & Visual Appraisal (LVA), Ecological Impact Assessment, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Report, Arboricultural Assessment and detailed landscape design.

Working collaboratively across disciplines enabled us to help shape a development that carefully considers its landscape setting, existing habitats and trees, while supporting the delivery of much-needed new homes.

The project forms part of FPCR’s ongoing relationship with Miller Homes, with our teams continuing to provide planning, design and environmental expertise across a number of residential developments throughout the UK.

Congratulations to everyone involved in reaching this important milestone.
