We are looking for Landscape Architects to join our expanding teams at Lockington (near Derby and Nottingham), and Dorking. Both offices are attractive places to work, within travelling distance of National Parks. Whether you are working towards chartership, recently chartered, or are working in a more senior role, we are keen to hear from you.

FPCR are one of the country’s leading award-winning multi-disciplinary environmental design practices, established for over 60 years. Our current workload is very varied and includes green infrastructure design and implementation, public realm design, masterplanning and LVIA, for sites across the country. You will get a wide range of experience and be involved in all stages of project development from concept design to construction, supported by the experienced team. You would work alongside architects, ecologists, arboriculturists and graphic designers within the practice.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of landscape and masterplanning projects and will be involved in a variety of public and private sector schemes across the UK. 

Specific job descriptions will be tailored to suit the right candidate. Duties will be dependant on level of experience. Typical duties might include:

  • Undertake masterplanning for residential and mixed-use schemes, and produce relevant information for planning submission (including Vision Documents and Design + Access Statements).
  • Prepare and supervise preparation of relevant design information for concept, planning, tender, and construction stages including 3D visuals, schedules for costing, detail design drawings, specification, and planting plans working with other team members.
  • Undertake Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, and produce supporting visual material, with other team members.
  • Prepare Landscape Management Plans.
  • Undertake site visits and attend meetings.
  • Present technical work at meetings with both clients and colleagues if required
  • Collaborate and develop design with other disciplines
  • Provide advice to Client and team members throughout the project.
  • Mentor/ manage more junior team members.
