Project	BILSTON URBAN VILLAGE The practice has led the masterplanning and strategy designs for this high profile urban village, Bilston, Wolverhampton. A series of design strategies have been prepared, including details of street hierarchy, footpaths, open space, nature conservation, play, education facilities and canal enhancement.  The urban village will be a mixed use development that includes 1,300 high density new dwellings, 38,300sqm of employment use, leisure, community and local centre facilities, and a 7.5ha neighbourhood park. This proposed neighbourhood park will form a spine through the centre of the park, following the route of the historic Bilston Brook. Water plays an important role in the masterplan, including swales, a central lake, urban water features and reopened canal basins.
