MATLOCK PARKS PROJECT
FPCR are the professional consultants appointed to design and oversee implementation of the £3.6 million Matlock Parks Project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This significant commission entails works to five interconnecting parks linking Matlock with Matlock Bath along the River Derwent Valley .
The five parks stretch for almost two miles and range in age from early Georgian through to Edwardian. They are very different in their nature, with each possessing a unique blend of historical, ecological, recreational and cultural features. The phased implementation programme includes woodland management and a detailed research study focused upon the long term conservation services including landscape, architecture and ecology.
