ALCONBURY
The
largest multi-modal project in the UK , which has recently gained consent from the Secretary of State. FPCR have prepared the developing masterplan and played a major role in the environmental assessment process for this 400 Ha redevelopment proposal. The former RAF airfield is strategically located to enable direct connections to be provided to the East Coast Main Line and the A1(M) /A14 highway network, with future potential for air freight as well. The objective is to create a European hub for rail freight distribution, with individual logistics buildings each exceeding 1 million ft². |
