'LEAD IN' FIGHTER HANGAR
Design of the assembly and maintenance facility for 40 Hawk lead in fighter training aircraft for the Royal Australian Air Force in Newcastle , Australia . Facilities comprise hangar, workshops, stores, staff amenities and administration offices.
The facility was initially used for a two year aircraft construction period, during which the Hawks were delivered in kit form and assembled. The building now supports the 25 year maintenance period for the aircraft. Contract Value $14 million.
