Project

DERWENT FOREST VISITOR CENTRE
Concept
architectural and landscape design for the core visitor area of the proposed Derwent Forest Park. Utilising the former Royal Navy Armaments Depot, the largest brownfield site in the north west of England, the project will attract visitors and investment to a site closed to the public for the last 50 years.

The scheme includes new visitor facilities incorporating an inclined railway to transport visitors up Buckhill, allowing panoramic views over the Lake District . The new building and landform would merge creating an integrated exemplar of design and sustainability
