Field botanist with over 16 years experience. Familiar with a wide range of botanical classifications and survey formats including Phase I & II Survey, National Vegetation Classification and River Corridor Assessment. Experienced mammal, amphibian and reptile surveyor frequently involved in the co-ordination, planning and execution of specialist projects including badger, dormice, great crested newt, common lizard, terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates and bird surveys.

Responsible for the planning and execution of the bulk of the baseline ecological input for environmental assessments within the practice, for a wide range of projects, with a countrywide coverage including new road schemes, mineral extraction sites and private developments.

Experienced in liaison with statutory and non-statutory conservation bodies, local authorities and other major organisations. Proven interpersonal and communication skills dealing directly with a wide range of mixed professional teams.

Provision of detailed advice on aspects of ecology and nature conservation, restoration, pollution and water quality in respect to effects on fauna and flora for Public Inquiries and production of proofs and rebuttal documents. Expert Witness at Public Inquiries.
