Over 16 years experience with a wide range of landscape and environmental projects. Masterplanning of large and complex schemes is an area of particular expertise.

Responsible for the masterplan and landscape design of 'Conkers' the Millennium project for the National Forest. This £16 million scheme includes a wide range of educational and leisure facilities, set within an arboretum of new woodlands. Conkers was the East Midlands Development Agency's 'Regeneration Project of the Year' and received the Civic Trust Partnership Award in 2003.

Detailed hard and soft landscape design has included sports, leisure, education and infrastructure planting. Responsible for the design of landscape infrastructure for over 3,000 new homes at Basingstoke . Currently responsible for the masterplanning and environmental planning for 3000 new homes at Waterlooville in Hampshire.

Landscape assessment projects include studies of the River Trent from Burton to the Humber , and the River Derwent on behalf of the Environment Agency.

Gary is an experienced Expert Witness and has presented evidence at a range of Public Enquiries.

Past winner of the Landscape Institute Travel Award, enabling study of the environmental effects of tourism in Turkey . Responsible for running Professional Practice courses on behalf of The Landscape Institute. Articles published in 'Landscape Design' the professional journal of the Landscape Institute. Visiting lecturer in Landscape Design and course advisor at Sheffield Hallam University
