Six years post graduate experience in ecology / ecological management, with a range of practical field skills for flora and fauna. Competent report writing and plan production skills including ecological assessments, management plans, tree assessments and protected species licenses. Experienced in project management requirements, client and contractor liaison for small scale and larger scale projects from initial survey, through detailed design and the planning process to ongoing mitigation implementation following granting of planning consent.

Responsible for undertaking and coordinating a range of ecological surveys including: Extended Phase I and botanical surveys and analysis; River Corridor Assessment and Hedgerow Surveys. Survey experience with protected species including badgers, bats, great crested newts, nesting birds, reptiles, otter and water vole. Experienced in a variety of BREEAM; EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments.

Extensive experience of liaising with statutory bodies such as the Environment Agency, Natural England and DEFRA particularly with regards to required input into EIAs and appropriate assessments and objections and licensing.

Substantial previous work experience as an information manager including departmental management, strategic planning and budgeting, project management, publications development, tender evaluation and procurement.
